Wane McGarity

Wane Keith McGarity (born September 30, 1976 in San Antonio, Texas) is a former American football and Canadian football wide receiver and return specialist who played in the National Football League and Canadian Football League. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 1999 NFL Draft. He played college football at Texas. He also played for the New Orleans Saints, Calgary Stampeders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
==Early years==
McGarity attended the University of Texas where he was converted from running back into a wide receiver. He suffered through anterior cruciate ligament tears in both knees (as a freshman and junior). He blossomed as a fifth-year senior, finishing his career with 1,687 receiving yards, 14 touchdowns and three all-time school records: longest reception (97-yard touchdown against Oklahoma in 1998), most touchdown receptions is one game (4 against Texas Tech in 1998), and most 100-yard receiving games in one season (7 in 1998).〔https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=861&dat=19990716&id=9uxHAAAAIBAJ&sjid=U4AMAAAAIBAJ&pg=4095,3369237&hl=en〕
